I know that I am posting this rather early, and if I find something so amazing that I need to edit this, then I will. So in no particular order, my favorite CD's of 2010 (These CD's might have been released in earlier years, but they were favorites of mine this year.)
Title: Lungs
Artist: Florence + the Machine
Favorite Tracks: Dog Days Are Over, You Got The Love, Kiss With A Fist
Why: I am disappointed that I didn't really get into Florence until I heard 'Heavy In Your Arms' from the Twilight: Eclipse soundtrack, but now I am in love. Plus Olivia loves "dog song mommy"
Title: Sigh No More
Artist: Mumford & Sons
Favorite Tracks: Sigh No More, Dust Bowl Dance
Why: This is one of those CD's that you can play the whole way through and never get tired. It is thrilling and such a great CD to play in the car. I am going to see them later this month in Seattle!
Title: Played in Space (The Best of....)
Artist: Something Corporate
Fave Tracks: Walking By, I Woke Up In A Car
Why: This is my favorite band ever. So years after they broke up, seeing that they were releasing a best of CD, was so exciting! I love the remixes on there and the previously unreleased tracks that I only had bootleg/import of.
Title: The Adventures of Bobby Ray
Artist: B.O.B
Fave Tracks: Ghost in the Machine, Past My Shades, Don't Let Me Fall
Why: Have you listened to the radio? He is awesome and his radio singles don't even do him justice. Hence why I picked other tracks as my faves.
Title: Fantasies
Artist: Metric
Fave Tracks: Help I'm Alive, Gold Guns Girls, Collect Call
Why: Great songs that I can rock out to in the car that I can get away with playing when my 2 year old is in the car too!
Title: Twilight: Eclipse Soundtrack
Artist: Various
Fave Tracks: What Part Of Forever (Cee Lo Green), Eclipse (Metric) and Heavy In Your Arms (Florence + the Machine)
Why: I am obsessed with Twilight. The end. Also, these songs are pretty kick ass. Say what you will about the movies but the soundtracks are pretty amazing.
